Morning in Chinatown (Petaling Street): how heritage brands survive in a tourist district. Afternoon on Masjid India: halal F&B and certification in a Malay–Indian-Muslim area. Late- afternoon lecture on Malaysia’s F&B market and its three main consumer groups. Dinner at a food court: the lowest-cost way in.

Day 3
Three malls, three tiers: TRX (premium), Mid Valley (mid-market), Sunway Pyramid (township). Tenant mix, fit-out standards, weekend footfall — with restaurant founders sharing in-store.

Chinese-ingredient wholesalers, then the Selayang wholesale market at night: local wholesale prices to work your gross margin against.

The landing day: Chinese F&B brands already operating here and the local restaurant association on what it really takes. Law (foreign-owned company rules, tax), finance (moving capital), residence (MM2H / PVIP), and the five landing steps — site & mall, fit-out approvals, licences, hiring, suppliers — with process, timeline and cost for each. Q&A, then a closing dinner with owners who have already made the move.
